A full history, a careful physical examination and blood panels drawn on site. A provider goes through every result with you and answers your questions in the room.
We start with your whole story: the delivery itself, how the months since have actually gone, and whatever is worrying you now. Then we examine you properly and unhurried, talking through what we find as we go. Bleeding, pain, scars, the pelvic floor, your breasts, your thyroid and your blood pressure are all part of that exam. Most answers begin here, and the bloodwork that follows usually confirms them.
Thyroid, anemia and iron, vitamin and hormone panels, all drawn on site. Postpartum thyroiditis is common, easy to miss and very treatable once identified. Blood loss at delivery and the demands of breastfeeding both draw down your iron, and where yours is low we can give it intravenously here. Pregnancy and breastfeeding also deplete vitamin D, B12 and magnesium, and hormones keep moving for a long time after birth.
Pain, leaking and heaviness are common after birth and worth a proper examination. We evaluate the pelvic floor, begin treatment where it is straightforward, and connect you to pelvic floor physical therapy when that is the right next step.
Pain, dryness and changes in desire are ordinary after birth. We look at how an episiotomy or a laceration has healed, work out whether the cause is hormonal, muscular or scar related, and treat accordingly.
Mastitis, infection, blocked ducts, pain and lumps all warrant a proper look. We examine, treat infection promptly, explain what we find and arrange imaging when it is needed. Lactation support comes through consultants we work with closely.
Numbness, tightness, pain and tethering in a C-section scar have causes that can be identified. We examine the scar, work out what is happening, and connect you to plastic surgery when treatment is the right path.
Whether you are avoiding pregnancy or thinking about the next one, we look at where your cycle and your fertility actually are, and go through the contraception that fits the life you are in now.
Returning to exercise safely. Eating for recovery and for feeding. Protecting sleep where life allows it. Simple mindfulness and meditation practices that fit into a day with a baby in it.
Visits stay open for as long as your recovery actually takes, and you can come back as often as you need to.

Anxiety, intrusive thoughts, mood changes and emotional exhaustion are common after birth. Here they are treated as clinical findings, assessed carefully and followed closely.
Next steps may include a referral to reproductive mental health specialists who do this work every day, coordination of medication where it is appropriate, and close follow up with us.
